Standing in the gap

Part of our responsibility as followers of Jesus is to pray for God’s intervention in the lives of others. The idea of “standing in the gap” comes from Ezekiel 22:30:

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:40

Clearly, God’s heart is moved to act when people cry out on behalf of others. In fact, this verse indicates that God is searching and waiting for people to stand in the gap so He may respond mercifully.

The word “intercessor” is commonly used by Christians to describe someone who acts as a go-between, pleading to God on behalf of those in dire circumstances. We read in Galatians 6:2 that we are to “carry each other's burdens.” One way we do that is by lifting others’ concerns to God in prayer. When the circumstances or our brothers and sisters become overwhelming, we can be their voice, calling out to God for help.

We are also called to stand in the gap for those who have not yet found salvation in Christ.

God is missing those days

Jeremiah 2:2
“‘I remember the devotion of your youth,
    how as a bride you loved me
and followed me through the wilderness,
    through a land not sown.

God is missing you so much , he is a jealous God, but what is most most important  now is that he misses those days...


those days when you come to him in deep worship and adoration
those good days you read your bible non-stop
those days you cannot lie
those days whe your heart is fixed on him and not on your cell-phone
those days of praying  and fasting not because there is a problem
those days of loving your neighbour when it is not necessary
those days of accepting every insult without retialating
those days of praying endlessly
those days of evangelism
those days of inreceding for lost souls
those days going the extra mile to help someone
those days when church is closer than your bed
those days when you worship gods in tears and get lost in the spirit
those days when  diseases leave just by coming in the presence of god without laying on of hands
those days when your tithes and first-fruits and always on time
those days when you put god first in all things you do
those days whe you pray 7 times in a day
those days when the fire is burning in your heart to witness christ zealously
those good days you do things well
those days you don't treat the things of God with levity
those good daysyou dont retialate with anger
those good days when god trust you that his ambassador is there,will you return that trust?
those days when as a new bride you love him more than your job
it's either he forces you  to get what he wants or he replace you with someone better
god is lookin for a man..where are you?what has happenened to you?
those days when you love ME more,.
those days when God trust you enough to entrust you with HIS word.

Take me back to those good old days again dear LORD!!!

Communion with GOD

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for you are the reason why we are here today. Thank you for the spiritual revival and reawakening.  Thank you for the gift of life and all round joy and peace you have given to us.

Great is thy faithfulness O Lord my father

There is no shadow of turning with thee thou changest not thy compassion thy fail not as thou has been thou forever will be

Lord only you hold the keys to our lives. We hide ourselves under your canopy for your Divine protection in the day or night in your mercy hear our prayers.

By your mercy o Lord let all the expectations of the ungodly concerning us, our families,fail continually in Jesus name

For you are so great in mercy, full of compassion oh Lord Jesus.  Let your Mercy prevail over judgement unto us Lord Jesus Christ.

Father of Mercy, have mercy and forgive all our iniquities and remember not our transgressions in Jesus name Amen

Thank you LORD  for bringing us once again into your presence, accept our prayers and praises.

Thank You Lord for the premature and untimely deaths, you cancelled because of these prayers.

Today o Lord, we have come to give you thanks

We have come to give you worship 

For your goodness, mercies, faithfulness, love, kindness, protection, preservation, provision and abundant blessings

Shalom!he attitude that will hinder me and take your banner of protection away from me,O LORD take that attitude away from me.

Help me to maintain a steady pace in my prayer life and improve day by day in getting closer to you as we see that DAY approaching.

Faithful God and Father we say a big thank you for this morning because it  is a great priviledge to see a new day and not a right, thank you and thank you so much Lord. We just cannot thank you enough.

This morning we  come just as we are Lord forgive us   of every lukewarmness ,in every way we grew cold towards you and  the things of  the Spirit, mercy  O LORD.

Have mercy Lord in any way we have  compromised our relationship with you LORD,O LORD,we plead your mercy,we are just humans,weak and fragile, please LORD do not regard our mistakes,flaws,prayerlessness and our sins.

Effort and Satisfaction

It can be hard to manage God, health, school, personal hobbies, clubs, responsibilities and the unexpected occurrences of everyday life. Even just listing them all out makes one day seem like a lot of work. But the most important thing to remember is to take everything one step at a time and to keep track of your priorities. 
Know what things matter to you and how much those things matter to you. Make sure those upmost priorites are being maintained. Personally, God is the most important part of my life. No matter what I am doing, I make sure my conscience is at peace with my decisions and I'm not making choices that I know I will regret.
 Choices I know I will regret include: 

1. procrastinating
2. multitasking
3. snoozing my alarm clock 
4. eating junk food
5. going to sleep late (i'm still working on this one)
6. playing along in social situations where I feel uncomfortable etc. 

Making choices based off my priorites is my first step to feeling calm, even during the most stressful of times. That is my general rule but when it come to things like school, there are times when assignments can take much longer or way shorter than expected. 
It's because of time like these that I truly feel that getting distracted is a hardworker's biggest enemy. Even fun, personal projects can take way longer than needed and be very unproductive if you are trying to "multitask" by watching Youtube as you practice writing Japanese. But at the end of the day knowing your priorites and working productivly pay off in self-satisfaction, the ability to relax when others are stressed and sometimes even social recognition (which certainly is not everything but certainly is nice). All these things are rewards that feel so good when they are hard earned. 

So stop procratinating and get productive!!!

Prayer for the day

In this faithful morning, 
I commit you  into the Hands of the Almighty God for multiple blessings, 
abundant grace, success and mercies. 
Where you need help, He will send help from above.
where you are troubled , He will speak comfort to your soul. where you are wearied, He will strengthen you. 
Today, God shall be there for you at every point of your need. 
The blessings of God shall not pass you. 
His glory shall shortly manifest in your life. 
May those who stand on your progress stumble and fall. 
May all the curses from your enemies turn to blessings.

LEARN TO LET IT GO.

Sometimes our attitude as believers drives souls to Hell.

You can make a difference by how you treat people especially when they make mistakes.

* IF you cannot be a bridge  to connect people, then do not be a wall to separate them. 

* IF you cannot be a light to brighten people's good deeds then do not be darkness covering their efforts. 

* IF you cannot be water to help people's crops sprout, then do not be a pest destroying their crops. 

* IF you cannot be a vaccine to give life, do not be a virus to terminate it.

* IF you cannot be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove their sadness.

We can always be each others keeper, let us resolve to heal the world and make it a better place. Yes, we can.

Back To School-Safety tips for children

I just could not get this day out of my mind,yes I am back to school.

Amen, Lord Your word says that you will show mercy on whom you will show mercy and compassion on whom you will show compassion.

Thank you for Counting  our children among those that shall receive your mercy to return back to school in peace and sound health,we are very grateful.

In an age-appropriate way, students should learn the following:

· Their name, age, telephone number and address

· A secret family password to identify when someone different will pick them up

· How to reach a parent, guardian or family contact in an emergency

· How to contact police, fire and ambulance personnel

· To let a parent or other responsible adult know where they will be at all times

· Never to say they are alone if they answer the phone

· Never to invite strangers into their home

· Not to enter anyone’s home without a parent/guardian’s permission

· Not to accept gifts from strangers

· To say “no” to an adult, especially if that person wants them to do something they have been taught is wrong

· That no one has the right to touch any part of his or her body . The exceptions may be people who are trying to keep them clean (assistance in the washroom) or health professionals (doctors or nurses)

· To tell a parent or guardian if someone has asked them to keep a secret

· Never to play in deserted buildings or isolated areas

· Never to take shortcuts through empty parks or fields

· Never to approach or enter a stranger’s car

· Never to hitchhike

· That adults should not be asking children or young people for help. A common technique to lure youngsters is to pretend to be searching for a lost puppy or kitten

· That if they become separated from parents at a store or in a mall, they should go to a cashier, security guard or counter clerk

· That if they are being followed, they should run home, or go to the nearest public place and yell for help

· To report to a parent, school authority or police officer anyone who exposes private parts

· That police officers are their friends and that they can rely on them if they are in trouble

· That if someone does something bad to them, parents/guardians will not be angry with them, but will need to know what happened.

Respect will go above and beyond to make the respected happy.

They will aim  for perfection and try to gain favor.

Respect will build,create and nuture the habits of those they respect.

Treat all those around you like you are in heaven and believe that every fault does not exist.

Love chooses to ignore short comings.

Love is caring,it is giving,it will give the benefit of a doubt.It is not easily provoked but is slow to anger,it is not boastful and will not call others out.It thinks before it speaks and does not get carried away.

It is truly calm and not harsh,it puts others first and does not  judge.It does not put itself above others,it is considerate and does not complain.It minds it's own business.

Love will sit through an awkward situation and show no sign of discomfort.

Love is patient and kind,not rude nor selfish nor do they remember shortcomings.

Love chooses wisdom and prudence.
